If you’re like most people, you probably delete your Reddit account after a few months or a year. But what if you don’t? What if you keep your Reddit account but never use it again? That’s what happened to one person I spoke to who deleted their account after just one year. The person said they didn’t use it because they found the site too boring and uninteresting. They also said that the site had made them very unpopular with some of their friends and that it was difficult to find anything interesting to do on the site.
Users of Reddit have the option to delete their account. This deletes all posts and comments associated with the account. When a user deletes their account, they are permanently deleting all content posted on Reddit through that account. The account cannot be restored or reconstructed in the future.
The Reddit Terms of Service states that the company will retain your account information, posts, and comments for 60 days after you delete your account. There are two periods when this retention is important. Firstly, when you sign up for a new account it will be impossible to create an account with the same username as you previously made because it has been already reserved by the company due to their retention policy.
Reddit does not delete any of your old posts or comments, but you can delete them yourself. To do this, go to the post’s page and click “delete” at the top right.
People can see your Reddit history if you are logged in to the site. They cannot see your browsing history on other sites, but they can see what you have submitted to Reddit.
If you have a backup of your account, then you can use that to get back into it. Otherwise, contact Reddit and they will help you get your account back.
Reddit is not safe. It has been hacked in the past, and users have had their personal information stolen. Users should be careful when posting anything personal on Reddit.
