If you’re like most people, you probably have an Epic Games account on your Nintendo account. If you don’t, now is the time to get started. Epic Games is a company that makes games for Nintendo platforms, and they often release new games for the system around the same time as other platforms. So if you’re not already subscribed to their newsletter or follow them on social media, now is the time to do so. The next step is to create a new Epic Games account on your Nintendo account. This will give you access to all of your Epic Games content and features, including your profile and settings. You can also use this account to play their games on other platforms (PC, Xbox One, PS4) as well as access their community forums and chat rooms. If all of this sounds like too much work, don’t worry! There are plenty of ways to unsubscribe from Epic Games newsletters or follow them on social media without having to create a new Epic Games account. Just be sure that you unsubscribe from each one regularly so that you don’t miss any new updates or products from the company.
On the HOME Menu, select “System Settings.” To access the Profile Settings for a particular user account, scroll down to highlight “Users,” then choose the appropriate user account. Scroll down to the bottom of the Settings screen and hit “Unlink Nintendo Account.” To unlink your Nintendo Account, choose “Confirm,”
To unlink your Switch account, hover over it and then click the “Account” option in the drop-down menu. Then choose “Connected Accounts” from the left-hand menu. You can disconnect and reconnect your existing Switch account from here.
In May 2019, the account merging process concluded. There is no longer a means to merge 2 Epic Games accounts. If you wish to connect an Xbox, PlayStation, or Switch account to a PC account, go to your main accounts’ Account Linking area.
