If you’re like most Android TV owners, you probably use YouTube a lot. But if you’re using an Android TV device that’s running the latest version of the Google Play Store, there’s a good chance that YouTube is installed on your device. Unfortunately, YouTube isn’t always the most user-friendly app. If you want to uninstall it from your Android TV, here’s how to do it. ..


On any device, open https://myaccount.google.com/permissions/. Select YouTube on TV from the list of Google applications. Remove Access should be selected.

Select “Home” from the television’s remote control. Select “Apps” and then go to the Google Play store. nSelect “My Apps” on the top left-hand side. nChoose YouTube. press “Uninstall.”

To uninstall YouTube, go to Settings > Apps & Notifications. Then scroll down and pick the YouTube app (you may need to select “See all apps,” “All apps,” or “App info” if it isn’t visible). Tap “Uninstall” next, then tap “OK” to confirm your choice and, eventually, say goodbye to?

From your Home screen, tap the Application icon. Locate and long-press the application you wish to disable. tap the red delete button. Select DELETE from the drop-down menu that appears.

Using your remote, access the Home screen of your Smart TV. Navigate using the arrow keys to find the list of Apps. Locate YouTube and click on it. Select the application. Click on ‘Remove’ or ‘Delete’ to remove the app.
