Microsoft Exchange is a popular email service that can be used by businesses of all sizes. However, like any other software, it can be turned off if it’s not needed. Here are four ways to turn off Microsoft Exchange:

  1. Open the Exchange Management Console and click on the Mailbox server name in the left pane. In the right pane, click on Servers and then select Disable Mailbox Server. This will disable the server and remove any existing mailboxes.
  2. Open the Exchange Management Console and click on Servers and then select Disable Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) Services for Mailbox Server. This will disable AD DS services for the mailbox server, which will remove any user accounts that are associated with it.
  3. Open the Exchange Management Console and click on Recipient Configuration in the left pane. In the right pane, under Delivery Settings, select Disable Email Address Resolution for this recipient (or group). This will prevent email addresses from being resolved from outside sources and will stop emails from being sent to this recipient or group.
  4. Open Active Directory Users And Computers (ADUC) and locate the user or group that you want to disable email delivery for. Right-click on that user or group and select Properties from the menu that appears. Under Email Address Settings, select Disable Email Address Resolution For This User Or Group from the list of options that appears. ..

Select the File tab. Click Account Settings, then Account Settings. Select or clear Use Cached Exchange Mode from the E-mail tab of your account settings. Select or clear Use Cached Exchange Mode from the Microsoft Exchange server menu. Restart Microsoft Outlook 2010 after exiting and reopening it.

Exchange Online is a hosted messaging solution that provides users with the features of Exchange Server as a cloud-based service. It enables you to access email, calendars, contacts, and tasks from PCs, the web, and mobile devices.

In cache mode, your mailbox is mirrored in the cloud while online mode allows you to access it directly from the Exchange server. Cache mode is intended to allow you to retrieve email when you are not connected to the internet.
