If you’re like most people, you probably rely on your iPad for entertainment and work purposes. But what if you need to conserve your data plan? Here’s how to turn off cellular data on an iPad:

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPad.
  2. Tap General.
  3. Under “Usage,” tap Cellular Data.
  4. Tap the switch next to “On” to turn off cellular data on your iPad. ..

Turn off your cellular data if you don’t need it while out and about or if you can’t get access to the network. Later, your battery will thank you.

You’ll still be able to make and receive calls as well as send and receive text messages after turning off mobile data. But you won’t be able to go online until you reconnect to a Wi-Fi network. Also, if at any time you really need mobile data, simply switch it on, use it, then turn it off again.

To switch between cellular data and Wi-Fi, go to Settings, then choose Cellular or Mobile Data. If you’re using an iPad, check out the Settings menu.

Unless you’re utilizing Wi-Fi, it’s the quick data connection. When Cellular Data is switched off, your iPhone displays only the signal strength bars in the upper left corner. For most people, keeping Cellular Data on is a good idea.
