If you are a Windows 10 user, you may have noticed that your user folders have been lost or corrupted. This is because Windows 10 has a feature called " Restore Points." A Restore Point is a location on your computer where you can save your important files and settings so that if something goes wrong, you can easily restore them to their original condition. To create a new Restore Point, open the Start screen and type “recovery” into the search bar. Once you have found the Recovery Console, click on it to open it. In the Recovery Console, type “recovery” into the text box at the top of the screen and click on OK. Then, type “windows10” into the text box at the bottom of the screen and click on OK. Now that you have created a new Restore Point, please follow these steps:
- Type “recovery” into the text box at the top of the screen and click on OK.
- Type “windows10” into the text box at the bottom of the screen and click on OK.
- Click on File > New > Folder > Folder Name (optional).
- Enter a name for your new folder (optional).
- Click on OK to create your new folder.
As a result, clicking or tapping the Properties option in Windows 10 now displays the Properties window for that user folder. Select the Location tab from the Properties window for that user folder. Then, to return the user folder to its original position, click or tap the Restore Default button. As you may have noticed, pushing the Restore Default button changes the path
In Windows Explorer, choose Options from the View menu. Then, make sure “Show hidden files, folders, or drives” is selected and that “Hide protected operating system files” has been turned off. You should now be able to see C:\Users in Windows Explorer.
The user folder is not deleted when you delete a user account; instead, when the computer is rebooted and the user signs in again, a new user folder will be generated. Deletion of a profile folder has two advantages: it may assist you if your computer is hacked and no longer allows you to log in as that particular profile; and
Open your computer’s folder. select the Computer option from the drop-down menu at the top right of your screen. navigate to the folder that previously housed the file or folder, right-click it, and then choose to Restore previous versions.
On Windows 10, open the Library folder. Select Properties from right-click menu of the folder. Navigate to the Location tab and select the Restore Default option. After that, click on Apply in order to perform the operation. Select Yes if you wish to create the folder in its new location.
