If you’re having trouble resetting your Yahoo account on your iPhone, here’s how to do it. ..
Open the Settings app. Scroll down and select Delete Account. Select Delete Account from the drop-down menu. Confirm the deletion by clicking Remove Account on your screen. Restart your device if necessary. Go back to Settings > Passwords & Accounts and log back in with your username and password. Choose Add Account from the drop-down menu, then choose Yahoo from the list of options. Follow the on-screen instructions to restore your account to your iPhone.
Visit the “Yahoo Mail/Messenger Restore Help Form” site (link in Resources). To login, fill out your Yahoo ID and password.
Switch on the app. Press and hold the Home button for 10 seconds. Select Settings from the menu bar. Choose Apps in Settings to display your installed applications. Locate and select the Yahoo app that isn’t working. Tap Force stop Force quit again to confirm. Re-launch the program and see if the problem reappears.
Clear your browser’s cookies. Quit and restart the program. Change to a different supported internet browser. Attempting to log in using a different sign-in page, such as our principal login page or the Yahoo Mail sign-in page, might work.
To access the Settings option on the Yahoo Mail app, tap the menu symbol in the upper right corner and then scroll down; some versions of the Mail app may refer to it as “Options.” You can also pull up the menu by pressing the menu button if your phone has physical buttons.
