If you’re a YouTube user, it’s important to know how to remove your Gmail account from the platform. This will allow you to continue using your account without any issues. To do this, follow these steps:
- Log in to YouTube and click on the “Settings” button on the top left-hand side of the screen.
- Scroll down and click on “Accounts.”
- In the Accounts section, select “Gmail.”
- Click on the “Delete Account” button and confirm your deletion by clicking on the “Yes” button.
- Once you’ve deleted your Gmail account, you’ll need to re-login for sure!
To cancel your YouTube account, you must first delete the Google+ profile linked with it. The deletion of your Google+ account will not affect other Google programs such as Gmail or Drive. Your emails and saved files will not be deleted.
To sign in to YouTube, you’ll need a Google Account. A Google Account is used across numerous Google services (such as Gmail, Blogger, Maps, YouTube, and more). If you don’t already have one, you can establish one on YouTube.
To transfer your channel to a different Brand Account linked with the same Google Account, follow these steps: Log in to YouTube. Click your profile photo at the top of your screen if necessary. To move your channel to a Google Account associated with another channel, switch accounts using the method described above.
You can remove your entire Google Account from the App. After you delete a channel, its URL and name will no longer be visible or searchable in YouTube Analytics. The data associated with the channel, such as viewing time, will still be included in aggregate reports but not linked to the deleted channel.
Even if you delete your channel’s content and data, you’ll still have a YouTube account as long as your Google account is active. The only distinction is that the channel will not have any content or record of your previous activity on the site.
