If you’re like most people, you probably have a Kindle book sitting in your Kindle library. But if you want to delete it, there are a few steps you can take to do so.

  1. Open the Kindle app on your device and sign in.
  2. Click on the three lines in the top left corner of the main screen and select “Delete this book.”
  3. Type your name and password into the fields below and click on “Delete.”

Go to your Bookshelf. Next to the book, you wish to remove from KDP Select, click the ellipsis button. Uncheck the box next to Keep this book enrolled in KDP Select on the screen that appears.

Tap the three vertical dots above the book list, then Delete on a smartphone or tablet after you’ve checked off the books using the checkboxes. You’ll be warned that this will delete the book from your Kindle library permanently. Confirm by choosing Yes, Delete permanently, and your library will be cleansed of the work.

The KDP Select program has a duration of 90 days, after which time writers have the option of opting out or automatically renewing for another 90-day commitment.

Simply go to your Kindle Direct Publishing dashboard, select the title you’d like to modify, and then click on Actions and Edit Book Details. You may now upload your new title by clicking on Save and Publish. The old file will be replaced with an updated one if you update your file.
