If you’re like most people, Instagram is a great way to keep in touch with friends and family. But if you don’t want to use the app anymore, there are a few steps you can take to delete your account permanently.

  1. Log into your account and click on the “Account” tab.
  2. Scroll down and click on the “Delete Account” button.
  3. Type in your desired information about why you want to delete your account and click on the “Delete Account” button.
  4. Your account will be deleted and you’ll need to create a new one if you want it back.

Go to Instagram’s specific page for deactivating accounts from a browser. If you’re not signed in, you’ll be prompted to do so. Choose the reason for closing your account. Re-enter your password if necessary. Select the Delete [username] button. Your account has now been deleted.

not already logged into Instagram on the web, you’ll be prompted to do so. … Select an option from the dropdown menu next to Why are you deleting your account? Then click or tap Delete [username].

Go to Settings > Application manager. nOpen the Applications (or Apps & Notifications or Application Manager, depending on your device and Android edition) menu. Find Instagram in the list of applications and tap it. Select Storage from the options available. Clear storage or data may be selected by tapping Clear storage or Clear data below Data management.

On your phone, open the Instagram app. Tap the Profile symbol. Tap Settings from the Profile page. Basics should be at the bottom of this list. Select Help Center from the drop-down menu. Continue through Getting Started and Delete Your Account until you come to a stop sign with an arrow pointing right or left (depending on your device).

On your iPhone, open Safari. Then sign in to Instagram on the browser. From the Settings menu, go to the ‘Delete My Account page. Look for a dropdown option next to ‘Why are you eliminating your account?’. You’ll need to re-enter your password.
