If you’re like most people, you probably use your hinge account for a variety of things: checking email, browsing the web, and more. But sometimes it can be helpful to get rid of an account altogether. Here’s how to delete your hinge account:

  1. Log in to your hinge account.
  2. Click on the “Your Account” tab at the top of the page.
  3. Under “Account Settings,” click on “Delete My Account.”
  4. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the deletion process. ..

Please note: You are not required to use your Gmail address or any other Google services in order to sign into Hinge.

If you remove an app from your phone, your zombie profile remains and may be shown to others. So, for example, if you meet someone on Hinge, fall in love, and delete the Hinge app (but not the account) from your phone. Your profile is still technically active on Hinge even if you don’t realize it.

The app does not notify you when someone is online, however, if you’re viewing their profile, they’ve been on the internet for at least 72 hours. Here are some methods to determine whether or not someone you’re chatting with is still interested.

Even after you’ve deleted your account, it’s possible that your information will be used for “legitimate business interests.”

Go to your Settings menu. Tap Account in the lower right corner of your screen. Select Upgrade to Preferred Membership from the drop-down menu. In the upper left corner, tap Restore subscription.
