If you’re like most people, you probably use Spotify to listen to music on your iPhone. But if you ever decide you don’t want to keep the account anymore, there’s a way to delete it without any hassle. Here’s how:
- Open the Spotify app on your iPhone and sign in if you haven’t already.
- Tap the three lines in the top left corner of the screen (the ones that say “Your Account”).
- Under “Your Account,” tap “Deactivate Your Account.”
- Tap “Yes, I want to deactivate my account.”
- Tap “Next.”
- Enter your password if prompted and tap “Next.”
- Tap “Delete My Account” and confirm your decision by tapping “Yes.” ..
This will bring up options like Searching & Offline Mode. From here select Account and then Delete Account. You might need to type in your password again if you are logged on any other devices as well (in this case, I haven’t checked if it deletes your account from those devices too).
Can I delete my Spotify account?
Currently, you are only able to deactivate your Spotify account. Deactivation means that your information will be saved in case you reactivate your account. Your music library and playlists will not be deleted and when you reactivate your account all of the saved information will still be available.
Deactivating does not delete your entire account including past activity, purchases, or saved songs/playlists. The email address associated with your account is also safe for future use. In addition to this, we save a backup of all data on our servers so if anything did go wrong it would be very easy for us to bring things back from the past (if needed).
To delete your Spotify account.Go to the Contact Spotify Support page and click Account.Then click “I want to close my account.Keep clicking “Continue” until you get a confirmation email with a link to permanently close your account.

On the menu click.on the ‘Account’ option.You will see a new menu.Tap on ‘I want to close account’.You will now see the ‘Close Account’ page.Click on the ‘Close Account’ button to close your Spotify account.
