If you’re like most people, you probably use Dropbox to store your photos, videos, and other files. But if you want to delete your account or stop using it, here’s how:
- Log in to your Dropbox account.
- Click on the “delete my account” link in the top left corner of the main screen.
- Enter your desired information into the “delete my account” form and click on the “delete my account” button.
- Your Dropbox account will be deleted and all of your files will be removed from it.
Please email [email protected] to cancel your Drop account. Your Drop point balance will be lost when your account is canceled, and it will no longer be accessible for any reason or at any time with notice to you.
You can simply leave your Dropbox Basic (free) account alone if you don’t need it any longer. Your account will be disabled—and all of your files destroyed—90 days after you go inactive for 12 months.
To remove dropbox without deleting files, right-click the “Dropbox” icon and select “Preferences.” Select “Unlink This Computer” in the “Account” tab. Confirm the changes by clicking the “Ok” button and quitting out of “Dropbox.”
To download a file from the cloud to your phone, open the Dropbox mobile app. In the lower right corner, touch Account. You may deactivate or cancel your subscription here. Tap Cancel plan at the bottom of the screen to learn how to terminate your plan.
Open a new tab and go to your profile. Select Settings from the drop-down menu, then scroll down to find Dropbox.Click it. Before clicking Start sync again to continue syncing with your other devices/data, click Create a folder or file in an existing Marker Name in the Open window that appears.
