If you’re an Amazon Web Services customer, there’s a good chance you’ve heard of the Delete Your AWS Account feature. This is a handy tool that lets you delete your account from the AWS website. The Delete Your AWS Account feature is available in three steps:

  1. Log in to your AWS account and click on the “Delete YourAWSAccount” link.
  2. Enter your desired information about your account, such as your name, email address, and password.
  3. Click on the “Delete YourAWSAccount” button. The Delete Your AWS Account feature will take a few minutes to complete and will show you a message saying that it has completed successfully. Once it’s done, you’ll need to log in again to continue using your account!

Open the AWS Organizations console. Select the check box next to each member account you wish to remove from your organization on the AWS accounts page. Then, under the AWS account, pick Remove from the organization.

Select the service from the drop-down menu. nick the cluster on the Clusters page. On the Cluster: name page, choose Services from the drop-down menu. Select Delete and OK to remove them from your account.

If your account is unpaid, you’ll get numerous emails from AWS requesting payment. If you don’t pay, they will first suspend your account and then terminate it (delete all data) after two months.

Choose Payment Methods in the navigation pane. Set another valid payment method as your default account. Choose Delete next to the card you wish to delete.
