1)Tap the Apps icon at the bottom of your screen > Gmail.
In the Gmail app, tap the Menu icon and select Settings > Accounts & Import tab.
Tap the three-dot menu icon in the upper right-hand corner and tap Show Import/Export options. The settings screen will change to display fields for selecting what content should be synced between the device and Google Account. Turn off Sync Contacts so that you can remove individual items without removing all contacts from that account on this phone or tablet only (this is optional). Scroll down the bottom of this screen until you see the list of contacts. Tap Edit in the upper right-hand corner.
Select the contact that you want to delete and then tap Delete in the lower right-hand corner to confirm your choice. Repeat for each contact that you want to delete from your Google account. When done, tap DONE at top of the screen. Finally, go back and turn off sync Contacts again (if desired).
