If you’re a business owner who uses Skype for Business, there are a few things you can do to keep your messages safe and private. First, make sure that you have the latest version of Skype installed. If you don’t, update it now. Second, make sure that your computer is secure. You can protect your messages with a password and encrypt them with AES-256 encryption. Third, use an email client to send your messages. Email is more secure than Skype and is easy to use. You can also use Google Drive or iCloud to store your messages. Fourth, be careful about who you send your messages to. Only send them to people you trust and know well. Don’t share your personal information with anyone else in order to protect your message privacy.

To enable history saving, go to your account settings in the Skype for Business or Lync client software. Open the program and log in to whichever version of Skype you’re using. The Conversation History folder will now contain all future communications. Outlook or OWA can be used to view this folder.

Open the chat with your desired deletion message on your Mac or PC. Right-click on the message (or click the three dots that appear beside it) and choose “Remove.” To confirm, hit “Remove” one more time in the popup window.

Deleted communications are no longer visible in your chat history. Your Skype chat history has been purged of all messages you or your contacts have deleted. All users’ conversations will be saved in the cloud beginning April 2017. In other words, all user-to-user and user-to-contact communications will be kept permanently in the cloud starting April

In the People menu, click Conversations. Right-click the contact you wish to examine previous conversations with in your contacts list and choose Find Previous Conversations. nshould be selected should be selected should be selected
