If you’re like most people, you probably have a lot of old Google contacts. Maybe you have them in your address book, or on your phone. Maybe you just keep them in a file on your computer. Whatever the case may be, it’s time to delete them. Here’s how:

  1. Open Google Contacts and sign in to your account.
  2. Click the three lines in the top left corner of the screen and select “Delete.”
  3. Type out a message explaining why you want to delete these contacts and click “Delete.”
  4. Click “Done” and confirm by clicking the button at the bottom of the screen.

Go to Google Contacts and erase your contact list. Delete your contacts from Trash, where they’ll stay for 30 days before being permanently deleted. To remove a contact permanently, go to “Trash,” choose the contact, then click Delete forever.

Go to the Google account settings by tapping “Accounts” or selecting the name of your Google account. The Google “G” logo is generally used for this purpose. After picking Google from the accounts menu, choose “Sync Account.” To remove sync between your contact list and Google Calendar, select “Sync Chrome.”

Go to the Google Contacts website or download the Android app on your phone and log in with your Google Account. Change your settings by going to Settings > Undo Changes. Confirm your decision, then double-check that you have access to all of your deleted contacts.
