If you’re like most people, you’ve got a lot of old Gmail contacts stored in your account. Maybe you exchanged emails with someone a few years ago, or you met them at a conference and kept in touch. But now that the person is no longer a part of your life, it’s time to delete those old contacts. Here’s how to do it:
- Open Gmail and click on the “Inbox” button on the top left corner of the screen.
- Select all of your old contacts by clicking on the “A” icon next to their names.
- On the “Contact Info” tab, click on the “Delete” button next to each contact’s name.
- Confirm that you want to delete each contact by clicking on the “Yes” button. ..
At the top right, tap More Select all Delete. Delete. All contacts: Touch and hold one contact and then another to select them both.DeleteDelete
Type the name of the person whose email address you want to change in the white search bar with your Google Contacts open. Click the checkbox over the incorrect old email address. In the upper-right corner, click the trashcan icon.
In Mail, go to the ‘Window’ menu and choose ‘Previous Recipients.’ Then click on the old email address and select ‘Delete List.’ Do this anytime you receive a ‘my email address has changed’ message.
To delete a contact, tap its name in your Contacts list to select it. Tap the Delete button next to the contact’s name in the upper-right corner of the screen. After that, hover over the person you want to remove until you find a checkbox. Select all of your desired contacts by tapping the checkbox next to them all.
