Google Photos is a great way to store and share photos with friends and family, but it can also be a source of frustration if you accidentally delete a photo or want to remove it from your Google account. Here’s how to delete photos from Google Photos:
- Open Google Photos on your computer.
- Click the three lines in the top left corner of the window, and select “Photos.”
- Select the photo you want to delete from your collection.
- Click the “X” in the top right corner of the photo, and confirm that you want to delete it. ..
There are two options. The first is to delete the photos from Google Photos on your phone and then delete them from your computer. The second is to remove the photos from the backup in Google Photos. To do this, go to https://photos.google.com/settings and uncheck “Back up & sync.
The photos that have been backed up on the Google Photos app cannot be deleted.
If you want to delete a specific photo, tap the three dots in the upper right-hand corner of that photo. This will bring up a menu with two options: Delete and More. Tap on Delete if you want to delete the photo. If you want to remove it from your device but keep it in Google Photos, tap More and then tap Remove from device.

There’s a few ways to free up space on Google Photos. The first way is to go into the app and select “delete from device”. This will only delete photos from your phone, so if you have a lot of pictures stored on your phone, this may not be the best option. Another way to free up space on Google Photos is by uploading all of your photos to a computer and then deleting them off of your phone.
To bulk delete photos, first select the photos you want to delete by clicking on the checkbox next to them. Then click on the menu button in the top right corner of the screen, and select “delete” from the dropdown menu.
The reason deleted photos reappear on Google Photos is because, according to the Google Privacy Policy, Google may store your data for as long as it’s necessary to provide you with their services. If you delete a photo from your device, it will be removed from your account and computer after 30 days. However, if you upload that same photo to Google Photos, the company will keep it indefinitely.
