If you’re like most people, you probably have an iPad with an iBooks app installed. If you don’t, there’s a good chance you’re going to be using one of the many free or paid apps to read books. There are a few ways to delete books from an iPad:

  1. Delete the book from the app itself: This is the easiest way to do it. Open the app and go to “File” and select “Delete.” The book will be gone from your iPad.
  2. Delete it from your iCloud account: This is a more complicated process but it’s worth it if you want to keep all your books in one place. Go to “Settings” on your iPad and select " iCloud." Under “Library,” select “My Books.” Click on the three lines in the top left corner of the screen that say “Deleting books from this library?” If yes, click on that line and follow the instructions. If no, just leave everything as it is and let iCloud manage things for you.

Find the item in your Library and delete it. … Tap Edit in the upper right corner. Tap the Bin symbol next to the thing you wish to remove. Delete the download from your device by selecting Remove Download.

To delete or remove a book, click Library at the top of the window, then All Books in the sidebar. Select an item to delete or remove. If you’re deleting a book from a series, first open the series and then click it. From the menu bar, choose Edit > Delete, then confirm when prompted.

Remove the checkmark from Remove, then scroll down and tap the word next to Sort or Sort By. Select one of the following options: Recent, Title, Author, or Manually. If you choose Manually, pull a book cover towards where you want it to go by touching and holding it. Tap to see books organized by title or cover

On a Mac or iPad, just choose select, then the book, and finally delete. On an iOS device, simply tap select followed by the book, then delete. On a Mac, right-click and select Delete; on an iPad, touch Select before deleting any iBooks.

Tap Delete in the top right corner, then select the item. Tap Edit in the top right corner. Choose Remove Download if you want to remove the item from your device.
