If you’re like most people, you probably have at least one old Hotmail account that you no longer use. If you want to delete it, here’s how:

  1. Log in to your Hotmail account.
  2. Click on the “Inbox” button on the top left corner of the screen.
  3. Under “Mailboxes,” click on the “Old Accounts” tab.
  4. Select the old account you want to delete and click on the “Delete Account” button at the bottom of the screen. ..

How To Delete Your Hotmail Account Permanently?

You can cancel your Hotmail account without a password if you know the email address associated with it. Resetting your password is one option. You must, however, have access to the contact email that you used to create your Hotmail account in order for this to happen.

Delete email accounts from your computer. Select Settings Accounts Email accounts. Under Accounts used by email, select the account you wish to delete and then Manage. On this device, choose Delete Account. Confirm by selecting Delete.

A Windows Live Hotmail account is permanently deleted after 360 days five days short of a normal year of inactivity. If you don’t use your Windows Live ID for a year and a half, it, too, can be permanently deleted.

Select File from the upper left corner of the Outlook window. Select Account Settings from the drop-down menu. Then, using either method, select Remove after selecting the account you wish to delete. You’ll be warned that all offline cached material for this account will be removed.

If a live subscription is in force, you will be prevented from permanently canceling your account. Hotmail, Windows Live, and Outlook.com accounts are not considered “Microsoft Accounts You can’t just cancel the Hotmail account; you must also terminate the user’s entire Windows Live Account.
