If you’re a Gmail user, there’s a good chance you’ve heard of the “delete account” feature. This is a handy way to remove yourself from an email account without having to go through the hassle of deleting everything and starting from scratch. To delete an email account from Gmail, follow these steps:
- Open Gmail and sign in.
- Click on the “Accounts” tab.
- Scroll down and click on the “Email Accounts” button.
- Click on the “Delete Account” button.
- Type your desired email address into the “Email Address” field and click on the “Delete Account” button again.
However, it’s simple to resolve. In Mail, go to ‘Window’ and then ‘Previous Recipients.’ Then click on the old email address and choose “Delete from List.” You should do this anytime you get a message like this:
To confirm your choice, tap Remove Account on the following screens. , Depending on your device, you may need to press Accounts or Users and then Accounts. To Finalize Your Selection Tap Remove Account If prompted, enter your passcode. -> To remove an account from your iPhone, open the Settings app and scroll down until you see Passwords & Accounts
On your iPhone or Android device, launch the mobile app. To access the Remove Account option at the bottom of the App Settings page, sign in and go to App Settings. After that, confirm by tapping it. Your device’s data and matches are deleted.
Open the Settings app on your phone. Select Accounts from the list. If “Accounts” isn’t there, go to Users & accounts instead. Delete the account from your phone.
Select an email account from the ‘ACCOUNTS’ menu. Tap Delete Account (at the bottom; may require scrolling). To finalize, tap Remove from My iPhone.
On your Android smartphone, open the Gmail app and tap the Google Profile icon in the upper right corner. Select “Manage Accounts on This Device” from the drop-down menu. The “Accounts” screen in Settings will appear. Select the Gmail account you want to log out of.
