Open Settings > iCloud . Turn off Documents & Data. This is important because otherwise iOS will still sync using iCloud even if you remove your account. Turn off Find my iPhone and erase your device (or tap Lost Mode). Go to iTunes on your computer and completely sign out of iCloud in the Account Info window for each Apple ID that’s storing personal information on this iPad—and turn off Sync Contacts for each account as well.
