If you’re a Spotify user, there’s a good chance you’ve heard of the deletion feature. It’s one of the ways Spotify keeps track of who’s using its service and how much time they’re spending. But what if you don’t want your account deleted? Here are some tips on how to keep your Spotify account active and delete it if you don’t want it:
- Log in to your account and click on the “Account” tab. This will take you to your personal settings. Under “Profile,” click on the “Delete Account” button. You’ll be asked to confirm this deletion before it happens.
- If you’ve already deleted your account, please follow these steps again: Log in to your account and click on the “Account” tab. This will take you to your personal settings. Under “Profile,” click on the “Delete Account” button again. You’ll be asked to confirm this deletion before it happens.
How To Delete Spotify Account?
Select the “I Want To Cancel My Account” option. Select the “Close Account” button from the following section. The “Close Account” button must be pressed again. Spotify will next ask you to confirm your account information.
If you close your account, you will not be able to use your current Spotify username again; however, you will be able to establish a new account with the same email address. You won’t have access to your playlists or followers anymore. You’ll also lose all of the music in your library.
You can’t exactly “reset” your account, but you may always manually delete your playlists using the following steps: Delete your playlists using control/backspace then a backspace or delete key.
Log in to your account page. Click UPDATE next to your payment method under Your plan. Choose a new payment option.
Log in to Spotify.com/account and select the account you wish to modify. Change Your Plan by going to CHANGE PLAN under your plan. Select CANCEL PREMIUM from the drop-down menu next to Spotify Free.
