If you’re like most people, you probably use your PlayStation 3 to play games and watch TV. But there are times when you want to delete accounts from your PS3, too. Here’s how:
- Open the PlayStation 3 system menu and select “Settings.”
- Scroll down to the “Accounts” section and select “Delete account.”
- Click on the “Delete account” button and confirm your deletion by clicking on the “Confirm deletion” button again.
- Close the PlayStation 3 system menu and restart your PS3 for the changes to take effect.
Turn Off the PS3 system by pressing and holding the power button for a few seconds. Scroll down and select System Settings from the drop-down menu. Select Restore PS3 System from the drop-down menu. Confirm your choice by selecting Yes. It’s up to you whether to use Quick Format or Full Format during this procedure .
If your Account has not been used for at least 24 months, we may terminate it. We will not return any of your unused wallet funds or remaining periods of your subscriptions to you unless compelled to do so by law.
Deletion of a master account is simple; simply log in as that user, select him or her from the Users list, and hit the triangle button. After you’ve confirmed that the user will no longer be on your PS3 (this will also delete your sub-account),
Select PSN Profile from the Account Management menu. Next to your present online ID, select Edit. Create a new online ID and follow the on-screen instructions to finish the procedure. You’ll be signed out of all of your devices after you’ve finished the process.
Is it possible to use the same email address to establish another account if my current one is deleted? Yes, after your account has been closed and verified by PS support. However, your username cannot be reused.
