If you have a Microsoft Office notebook, you can delete a note by pressing the Delete key. If you don’t have an Office notebook, you can delete a note by selecting it from the list of notes in the Notes app on your device.


Select the little circle that appears next to or in the upper right corner of the notebook icon with your mouse pointer. A small checkmark will appear inside the circle next to the notebook. On the OneDrive menu bar, click Delete.

To remove a notebook and all of its contents from your OneNote notebooks list, just close it as usual. To eliminate a notebook and everything within, you’ll need to delete the file at its origin.

Remove the “Start using Outlook” message. Open a new document in Notepad or another text editor by double-clicking anywhere on the page. You can’t delete notebooks from OneNote, so you will need to find it using File Explorer and remove it from there.

Select the notebook that you want to delete, then hold it down. The notebook will have a tiny checkmark next to it. Tap the Delete button on the OneDrive toolbar. Make sure you want to erase everything in the notebook before confirming your decision.
