If you have an Instagram account and want to delete a linked account, follow these steps:
- Log in to your Instagram account.
- Click on the three lines in the top left corner of your screen (the one that says “Profile”).
- Scroll down and click on the “Deactivate Account” button.
- Type in the email address of the person you want to delete their account from and click on the “Deactivate Account” button.
Log in to your Instagram account on the website. Go to Instagram’s ‘Delete Your Account’ page if you want to cancel your membership. Select one of the options from the drop-down menu. Then, type your password and hit ‘Permanently delete my account.’ Your Instagram account has now been permanently deleted.
Go to the Instagram account deletion page from a browser. If you’re not signed in, you’ll have to log in. Select your reason for closing the account. Re-enter your password. Choose Delete [username] from the drop-down menu. Your account has now been deleted.
To go to your profile, tap Tap or your profile picture in the bottom right. To access Settings, tap the top right and then Settings. Tap Login info on the following screen. Next to the account you wish to delete, click Delete.
Within the Instagram app, you can’t remove your account. Next to Why are you uninstalling your account?, choose an option from the dropdown menu and re-enter your password. After choosing a reason from the menu, the option to permanently delete your account will appear.
Open the Instagram app on your phone. -> Tap the Profile icon. Go to the Profile page and select Settings. Basics should be selected at the bottom of the screen. Delete Your Account may be found by scrolling through the choices until you come across Getting Started.
