If you’ve ever wanted to delete a book from your Amazon account, now is the time. Amazon announced on Wednesday that it is discontinuing its Kindle Direct Publishing program, which allowed authors to self-publish and sell their books through Amazon. Starting March 15, all Kindle books will be published through Amazon’s own publishing platform, Kindle Direct Publishing. This means that authors will no longer be able to delete their books from Amazon or manage their sales data through the Kindle Direct Publishing program. Authors who have already published books using the Kindle Direct Publishing program will have until September 15, 2019 to convert their titles to the new format. ..

Open the Kindle app on your iPhone, iPad, or Android device. Press and hold down on the book you’d like to remove. Select “Delete from Device” from the pop-up menu.

You can remove ebooks from your device or app right away. Locate the book you’d like to remove from your device’s list of titles, tap and hold the title, and then choose Remove from Device. These procedures are similar whether you’re using a Kindle or the Kindle mobile app.

Tap the Library button, then select the item. Tap Edit in the top right corner. Tap the Bin symbol next to the thing you want to remove. Select Remove Download from your device’s menu if you wish to delete it.

Click the Actions button next to the book you’d like to remove. Select Delete from the drop-down menu if you wish to permanently delete it from the site and your Kindle Fire.
