If you have a hotmail account, it’s important to close it if you want to stop receiving email from that account. Hotmail is a popular email service and many people use it to keep in touch with friends and family. If you close your hotmail account, you won’t be able to receive email from that account anymore.
Go to account.microsoft.com and enter your login information. Select the Your Info tab at the top of the page. Down in the Help with Microsoft account section, click on How to cancel your membership.
Select the Start button, then Settings > Accounts > Email & accounts. Select Manage under Account used by email, calendar, and contacts for the account you’d like to delete. You may also remove an account from this device by selecting Delete account from this device. Confirm your choice by selecting Delete.
You may also cancel your email account on Android using a web browser like Chrome, but deleting it on the PC is more convenient.
Go to your email account. Go to this Microsoft link. Reset your password again. Using the alternate email address or phone number, confirm your identity. To delete the account, finish all of the steps in order.
Users of Microsoft Corp.’s Hotmail e-mail service who do not log in at least once every 30 days will have their accounts disabled, the firm confirmed on Friday. Accounts on Hotmail were previously limited to 45 days. In the United States, the change took effect on November 1st.
