If you’re like most people, you probably use Google search to find information about a variety of topics. But if you’re a business or organization, you may also be using Google search to track and manage your company’s search results. If you’ve ever used Google search to clear your history, you may have noticed that some of the results are still listed in the “Search Results” section of your browser window. This is because Google keeps track of how often certain terms are searched for and displays these results in order to help users find what they’re looking for. To clear your history on Google search, follow these steps:
- Open your browser and type “chrome://settings/search.” This will open the “Search Settings” window.
- In the “Search Results” section, click on the “Clear History” button. This will remove all of the results from your history so that they won’t show up again in future searches.
Open the Google app on your Android device or tablet. Select Profile picture or initials in the top right corner. Delete all time by tapping History below your history. Select one of the following options: Everything you’ve done in Search: To remove anything from your history, go to Settings Account Search and select Remove everything. All-time Delete specific?
Open the Chrome app on your Android phone or tablet. Go to More at the top right and select History. Select Clear browsing data. Tap Clear data after selecting how much history you want to remove. All-time is the only way to erase everything. Make sure “Browsing history” is selected. Click Clear data.
Some users of the Google Chrome browser may be unable to remove the browser’s history (and/or cache) due to a bug in later versions. The data includes everything from the browser cache, cookies, and downloaded files.
Click on the three-line icon at the top right of Chrome to open its menu. Click More at the top right corner. Select History from the drop-down menu. Clear browsing data is selectable by clicking on Clear browsing data in the left column. To determine how much history you want Chrome to delete, pick a number from?
Choose History from the drop-down menu or select it using the keyboard. Or, on a Mac computer, click and hold or tap and click the menubar icon with three dots at the top right of the browser window. Select History > History (CTRL+H) from the drop-down menu that appears.
