If you’re a user of Evernote, there’s a good chance that you’ve heard of the popular note-taking app’s ability to be cancelled. But what exactly does this mean? Cancelling an Evernote account means that your data will be deleted and all your notes will be lost. However, if you have an Evernote account with a premium subscription, you can still continue using it without any problems. Simply sign in to your account and select “Cancel my subscription” from the main menu. Your data will still be safe and sound, but your premium subscription will expire at the end of its term.
In Evernote, under the Account section, click Billing. Select Cancel your Evernote subscription from the bottom of the Billing page.
Your subscription will be canceled when it expires, and your account will automatically turn to Evernote Free. All of your notes and notebooks will be preserved.
On the web app, go to the Notebook and select “Delete” from the ellipsis menu. This will remove the Notebook as well as all of its notes. Do this to each of your Notebooks until there are no more entries on the list.
Evernote saves your notes in two locations: on your device or computer and on Evernote’s servers. It’s smart to back up any local notebooks before uninstalling Evernote, as they will be lost if you do so.
Users will be able to sync notes across more than two computers, tablets, and smartphones if they want to do so with a Premium or Premium Plus account. Evernote Premium, on the other hand, will now cost $7.99 per month (up from $5.99), while Evernote Basic remains free.
