If you’re like most people, Facebook is one of your most important online tools. But if you’re a Facebook user who wants to keep your account private, there are a few steps you can take to do so. First, create an account on another site or service. This will give you a new name and password for your Facebook account. Second, change your settings on Facebook so that only friends and family can see your posts and updates. Finally, disable notifications for everyone but those who are specifically authorized to receive them – this will keep your privacy intact.


Scroll down to Settings and select it. Scroll down to the Your Facebook Information category and choose Account Ownership and Control. Select Deactivation and Deletion, then Choose Delete Account. Continue to Account Deletification by selecting Delete Account.

Start the Facebook app on your Android device. Tap the three-lined icon (hamburger menu). Choose Settings & Privacy from the drop-down menu. Tap Settings to go there now. Account Ownership and Control should be found by tapping Deactivation and Deletion; tap it to open up that page.

Click the flower or star in the right-hand corner of the page then “help.” Then select “visit the help center” from the drop-down menu. Next, input “deceased user delete” into the search box. Finally, you have two options: memorialize or eliminate an account.
