According to The Information, Facebook and Messenger are working on a messaging app that will allow users to share information more easily. This will include things like photos and videos, as well as messages. This is likely in order to make communication easier between the two apps. However, it’s not clear if this data sharing will be limited to just messaging or if Facebook will also share other data with Messenger.
